Proposition 65

FOR CALIFORNIA CUSTOMERS ONLY

California Proposition 65
The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986—commonly known as Proposition 65—is a California law that requires businesses to warn consumers about potential exposures to chemicals that may pose health risks. These warnings help Californians make informed choices about the products they use. The law also requires the State of California to maintain and publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Since its initial release in 1987, this list has grown to more than 900 chemicals.
Companies that sell products in California are legally required to provide Proposition 65 warnings when they know that a listed chemical is present in their products. At Ferno, we understand the importance of working to reduce or eliminate chemicals of concern in our products and to improve transparency regarding those that remain. We are committed to seeking safe materials, processes, and suppliers, knowing that this work supports better experiences and outcomes across the healthcare community.
The warning shown below (or a similar version) follows guidelines established by the State of California. It may appear on certain Ferno products, user guides, or price books when we are aware that the labeled product contains a listed chemical. Because we use distributors and have long-lasting products in the market, we cannot guarantee that a particular item will never be sold into California. For this reason, we have chosen to include the Proposition 65 warning on all applicable products.
